Episode 2 transcript
Skeletron: We are NetherGames Now, a currently unofficial news community run by Tek, AdminRAT, Skeletron, and Mighty. We are now bringing you episode two of our news series. Here’s Tek to tell you about the recent Halloween update that we teased last episode.
Tek: Thanks Skele, as most of you would know on the 21st of October NetherGames released their 2022 Halloween update. This update included the normal pumpkin hunt that NetherGames has done every year for the last few years, The reward was, once again, a cosmetic cape that looked like this. To unlock this cape, you had to find 25 pumpkins that were scattered around the new Halloween themed lobby. We won’t spoil where they are for you but if you need help there are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube We’ll link a tutorial for this in the description for if you need it. Included in the Halloween update was a 25% sale on the official NetherGames store. There is only a couple of days left before the sale ends so if you are planning on purchasing something you can do so at ngmc.co/store. Speaking of the store, it has now got a Halloween reskin. [insert image/video of the new store] It now has spiders everywhere, and the Halloween lobby as the background image. Finally, some of your favourite maps from various gamemodes have been remade to match the Halloween theme. Although October is now coming to an end, we believe that the Halloween themed maps, and lobbies will remain for another week, or more in November for everyone to enjoy. Here’s mighty, with some staff updates.
Mighty: There were several promotions over the past 2 weeks as well as two people who joined the staff team as a trainee. These people were, LethalVortex32, and MayaNOTFOUND. Now onto promotions, Ampossible was promoted from Trainee to Crew. Additionally, DJ1eye28, MegaRabyteYT, and Cutenessnut were all promoted to mod. Myself, MightyGold7839, was promoted to Supervisor and finally, zNic0v was promoted from trainee support representative to Support Representative, congratulations to everybody and their promotions! Next up, there have been a few resignations within the staff team. Firstly, Pqddington resigned from his Crew position, followed shortly by Rezfxn, who also resigned from the Crew position. A few days ago, Chr7st resigned from his builder and crew positions and the more recently xSteamxd resigned from her Mod position. Finally, we have Operatin who resigned from his Supervisor position. After asking Ope why he decided to resign he said it was “due to some issues he had with the management team”. There was one other resignation but they have requested that we do not share that here. We respect this staff members request but we still wish them all the best in the future and hope to see them around. For some other discord updates, the player support channels and live chat may be getting re-worked after some statements made in the #feedback forum. Along with that, the admin-executive role colour has been changed from a light green, to a red. [insert screenshot in video]. There has also been a new channel created, that being #roles. In this channel you can use the bot to give yourself any of the following roles, @status updates, which pings you when there have been some technical issues, or outages with the server. @game updates, which pings you when there have been significant changes, giveaways, etc that relate to in-game. @Web updates pings you when there have been changes to our web services such as the account portal, store, etc. Finally, @discord updates. This pings you when there have been changes to roles, channels, and other things across the NetherGames Discord server, which you can join using ngmc.co/d [have the “https://ngmc.co/d” link pop up in the video] Now here is Skele to tell you about some other general updates
Skele: Thanks. There has been some slight changes for other various things around the network as well. Firstly there has been a “open YouTube channel” button added to the account portal for those who have the YouTube rank, or Partner rank. You can now also vote for any map in private games in all gamemodes, and the pink team now uses pink coloured blocks rather than magenta. Lastly, you can now also be punished for selling in-game items for real world currency as this is against Mojang’s EULA. If you break this rule, you will get a 8 point punishment called “IRL money trading”. I will now hand over to Tek to end of this episode.
Tek: Thats is all the updates for this episode. We are currently hoping to post a new video every fortnight. As well as this, we’ll be frequently creating new posts updating you while we work on the next episode at our website nethergames.news. Thanks for watching.
